I have been using DVDShrink 3.2 for many years. I have it installed on both of my computers. While attempting to copy a DVD on my new computer (which has been working fine for 2 years) I suddenly got the message: DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read file "D:|" The Parameter Is Incorrect. Shrink still works fine when using a master dvd on the new computer. The copy will not work (make a second copy) on new computer but it will copy fine on the old computer. Any ideas/suggestions?

Your new computer cannot read the disc. What brand of media are you using? What is the brand of the burner on the new computer?

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Both computers are equipped with Sony IDE DVD Burners/2MB Cache ... The new computer has a matching pair while the old computer only has a single burner. DVDShrink was working perfect on the new computer (two years) until today. I can still make copies from the original DVD but I cannot make a copy from a copy. I can still do both on the old computer. Just doesn't make sense. I also have DVDFab Decrypter HD Platinum which works fine on both computers. I prefer DVDShrink because its faster.

One could implement ImgBurn to make a copy of a copy. Mode>Read then Mode>Write.

You did not answer all of Dialysis' question. What brand of blank media are you using?

The blank media is Sony DVD+R 120min/4.7GB and recorded at 8x. I've never had trouble with these blanks in the past. It seems to me the burner it was created on should be able to read it and produce another copy. I can watch the movie using Windows Media Player using the same drive it was created on. As I said earlier, I can take the movie, which was created on the new computer, move it to my old computer and DVDShrink works fine. Has no toruble reading/reproducing the copy. Thanks for all the effort going in to helping me with this problem.

What are the model numbers of these burners?
What firmware are these burners using?

This tells us nothing.
We need model numbers and firmware numbers.
