DVD shrink problem v 3.1

I downloaded the newer version, configured the prefernces right according the on doom9.net,after inserting the disk I click open disk, after I chose the movie & menu, I click backup, then error comes up something about could not encode, I have, never had a problem with version 3.0 beta, anyhelp!!!

For now try and use DVD Decrypter and see if 3.1 will read the files.
I'd try a different movie and see if the problem is still there.
Take a look at the forums at http://www.dvdshrink.info and see if your problem is in the 3.1 bug report posts. May as well look at the guides too, might find something is set differently than the doom9 guide.
3.1.1 is out now, is that the one you have, or do you have 3.1.0?

A quick fix is to start the movie in PowerDVD and then click "open Disk", many times it will now ask about what region to set for the DVD. Click OK for region # 1. It then should work properly.

Should that fail, as Frank suggested, download DVD Decrypter and use that to rip then back to Shrink you go -
