I am pretty sure this hasn't been asked before, here is my dilemma:

I have a server PC with two Ethernet cards, one has a direct connection for my internet (Broadband Cable Modem), the other connects to an 8 port switch (for another PC, PS3, Wii, XBox360 and two NAS's). I use Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on the server PC and everything has been working perfect for me for several years. The only thing I can't do with this setup is use Remote Play with my PSP when I'm out and about.

As I do not use a router, I am not sure how to get this working (if it is at all possible). I have tried to 'Port Forward' using ICS by going to the Adaptor Properties >> Advanced >> ICS Settings and adding UPnP (tried both TCP and UDP) and giving a port number of 9293. I have tried using the server IP and the PS3's (static) IP here but nothing is getting through.

Before you ask, it is not a Firewall issue (I'm using Sunbelt PF) and the PS3 is set up with allow internet Remote Start etc. and the PSP can connect via the PS3's WiFi directly without issue.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I'm off on holiday next week and would love to get it working by then!

Cheers.

You are not allowed to bump threads. I'm not sure of a solution to your problem.

There is no way of using remote play without a router...

The PSP connects with the PS3 either through the internet or private network (wifi obviuosly).

Simply put, if the PSP cant get internet...then there is no remote play.

Its ok tho...remote play is pointless. It just lets you watch movies and listen to music you have on the PS3. And it lets you play PS1 games only...

might as well do all that on the PS3

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)
