Hello

I hope you can help me as i am stumped, I have just bought a PS3 today and i would like to connect it to my Samsung 19inch widescreen monitor which has a DVI input. i know i can get a cable to do this but i dont know how to get the sound as the monitor does not have any speakers and my amp has the normal phono sockets.

is it possible to connect a cable to the multi av to the amp at the same time so i will get the sound.

please help as at the moment all i can do is use the normal scart socket and i want to get at least 720 resolution

You can either use the red and white AV cables that come with your PS3, or use an optical cable like I do. Either works just fine but you'll need to change it in your audio settings.

You could get a DVI to HDMI cable for the monitor (make sure your DVI port is HDCP capaable) For the audio you could use the composite cables provided with the ps3 if your speaker system supports that.
