I am using both Linux Mandriva/Fedora and MAc OSX Leopard. Both 64 bit OS's

I do have Vista 64 bit installed as well not sure what to use on that os?

On Linux I am using K3B with the LIBRARY lib64dvdcss in order to backup my DVD movies with encryption.

Here is the dilema:

What program can I use to shrink the close to 8 gigs extracted by K3B or equivalent software down to the size of a regular DVD non Double Layer? For both OSX and Linux? 64 bit

I use to use DVD shrink with DVD anyware in the background to work around newer encryption that DVD shrink was unable to handle.

I think a people are using DVD Fab now instead of Shrink it but does DVD Fab also shrink?

Ok so enough of that:

What is out there for Linux and OSX 64 Bit OS's that I can use to extract and shrink or shrink the already created DVD from K3B? K3B is a Nero Equivalent for windows but for Linux. K3B is superior to most of the windows Burning Applications.

If you use WINE with Linux you can still use DVD Shrink. DVD Shrink also works just fine with my Vista 64 bit.

in OS X I just use Toast Titanium (version 7-9 all do the same) and use the fit-to-dvd option which will shrink your VIDEO_TS to DVD5 capacity
