So I had to replace my hard drive and figured I should rebuild the OS on it while I was at it (XP). Now DVDShrink (v3.25) wigs out when I try to load it. The CPU pegs, The entire display will go black and come back, and I haft to reset the pc to stop the wheel spinning. Install runs fine, but DVDShrink will not launch.
Only big difference is I went NTFS instead of Fat32 this time.
Could this be a problem?
I have been using DVDShrink for years, never had a problem like this before.
Your copy of shrink my be corrupt, uninstall shrink and run a good regcleaner (ccleaner is free). Redownload a fresh copy of shrink and reinstall it, then retry starting to program.
If your trying to use it with a disk inserted that you intend on backing up, you could running/using DVDFab HD (free) and use it to rip the files to the hard drive, then open the video files using shrink and have it complete the backup process.
