Hoping someone who has done a few of these can help.
Got a 2nd hand ps3 with laser problem , was sucking in and ejecting fine (before I started)
Laser arrived this morning and took it apart fitted laser and put back. However the drive makes an awful clicking noise now , I think I have missaligned something incorrectly putting Black plastic bits back together :(
Does anyone have a clear picture of how all cogs etc should be alligned when putting two halves back together

Yeah it definitely is the gears misaligned my friend had the same problem with his ps2. Here's the best pics I could find of the inside of the bluray drive. If you could take any pictures of how you have yours setup right now I may be able to help you further.

But no matter what I try still same result :(
I'm wondering if the replacement laser was faulty and has zapped the bluray board :(
