DVD shrink - when i try to play movie, only the last few minutes play

I am new to this forum so please be gentle. I have used dvd shrink for several years until lately i have not encountered a problem burning from nero or from shrink. It seems lately when I try to burn the entire burn seems to go well and when i go to play it the movie only plays the last few minutes of the movie. The menu and such in the movie when i use the remote to go there is not recognized. There is no rearthor of the movie just a straight backup and burn. Burn with either DVD shrink or nero.
One last note. I do use DVD decryptor by sly fox before the burn but never had a problem in the past using it.
When I play it in 2 different DVD stand alone players the movies always play and start at the last few minutes.. When I play it in my laptop it plays just fine.. Any thoughts or ideas what the problem might be?? I tried unstalling and reinstalling shrink without any luck. I think i am using the latest version 3.2.
HELP anyone if they can think of a solution. TIA

Actually i use DVD shrink to do the burn right after the backup. Thanks for the comeback information.

you just changed dvdr media or updated nero?
reading this somewhere else too...
aswell as iluvendo mentions newer dvds are getting pigs to copy, after ripping need to run them through either fixvts or vobblanker...
you can cut alot out by doing main movie only but even this needs fixvts or vobblanker

Dvd shrink needs Nero or dvd decrypter to burn. So what are burning with?

I tried tried running dvdfab and Fixvts. then did a run through with shrink. I tried the movie in the stand alone dvd player. it did not work. I put it into the computer and it played fine.. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am at a loss here..:(

same as above you got nero v8?
also there is a hack for dvd shrink to use imgburn instead of dvd decrypter

also remember to use good blank media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim even Sony burning at 6x to 8x max

just read 2 more people with nero v8.3.2.1 cant burn etc etc etc
add those 2 to the list of 30 lately
not a good version at all a 50/50 if it work...
im on v8.0.3.0

I solved most if not all my Nero problems. I'm still on Nero 6.6

i still have v6 and vision on standby!
with my version nero, not had any problems yet. but not used that much really...

i use nero 7.8.5.0 never updated from there, works fine

Everyone here is GREAT. I Got really thinking about the reply of Nero 8 and uninstalled Nero 8 , manually cleaned out my registery, disabled my internet connection and reinstalled nero 6.6.03. I did also download all the other programs suggested. Thanks to others for those. I wanted to try first things first to eliminate the problem step by step. The first movie I tried worked just great. Nero 8 was the problem. I dont know what they have done to Nero 8, I never like it, it sucked but i thought i would try it never suspecting that could be the problem. Thanks again guys....
