DVD Shrink turns off my computer - help

hiya
while compressing a movie with dvd shrink, it would completely turn my computer off without warning..never happened before but now its everytime

i am runnin win xp
core 2 quad q6600 cpu
2 gig ram
512mb gfx card
and alot of other goodies...

i took the comp before this happened to a comp store cause my windos disk was stuffed..but when he formatted my h/d it now crashes while using dvdshrink..i can use nero no probs also dvd fab and dvd2one without a hitch...please help :)

When DVD Shrink is running, note the CPU temperature peak before shutdown.
The allowable range for various CPU's can be found by Googling - it will at least rule out that problem as the cause.
