Hello,
I have bought a sony bravia dav-dz370 today and i don't know how to connect my ps3 to it...i have connected the sony bravia via HDMI to my LCD and i connect my PS3 also through HDMI to my LCD but when i start my ps3 i can't play 5.1. and also in the audio setting in the ps3 i choose HDMI and it does not detect 5.1...
plz help me on how to connect it to my ps3???
Well If Im not mistaken, there are diff cables that support audio and video. Ofcoarse you want the cable that supports both. In the Ps3 settings, you have to select to use video and audio output to go through the HDMI cable. Now if your receiver (sony bravia dav-dz370) has HDMI inputs then there shouldnt be an issue, other then the HDMI inputs on your receiver dont support audio and video within one connection, with one cable.
Now I have a cheap run of the mill receiver, but I have my HDMI cable from my ps3 going to my LCD screen, and this connection provides video and audio direclty from the PS3, and the audio output of the TV going to my receiver. that may be your best option, since your not getting any output from your receiver.Or you may just need to read the manual a lil more. There may be a downgrade in audio output, if you connect your cables the way I did, cuz a connection directly from the PS3 to the sony bravia dav-dz370 will get you the best sound quality. TOo bad the PS3 doesnt have dual HDMI output connections. THis would solve your problem...........
