This is hypothetical of course, because you're only allowed to make one backup of the original. ;) However, could you use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVDXCopy backup even if that backup was split into 2 discs? I know diskcopy won't work on the DVD because DVDXCopy doesn't break the encryption, so it would be the same as trying to copy an encrypted DVD. Just curious in case my original fails and I need to make a backup of my backup. ;) Any other innovative ways to get that backup of a DVDXCopy backup?
yes you can use dvddecrypter but if the file is too big back it up with recordnow, Also there is a new program called dvdregion try the trial version it blocks all of the region codes and ect. Hope this will help you
some experiences with dvdxcopy and Nero.
not an expert here by any means......
much of this information is known already.
parnoids have fun.....
use Nero to copy a disc created by dvdxcopy.
Perhaps Nero vesion 6 :-)
Sometimes you use dvdxcopy to make a dvd archive.
but the archive disc doesn't play correctly on
your dvd player even though dvdxcopy says it
was 'successful' when it created it. Even in this
case, Nero has been used to copy a dvd created
by dvdxcopy.
Also, a lot or pc dvd writers can read
one format (dvd-r etc) but can not write dvd-r.
Sometimes a home dvd player can not play said
format at all or does not play it very well.
In this case, you can use Nero to copy the disc
onto a format your home player can read (dvd+r)
provided the original disc was created with dvdxcopy.
dvdxcopy is not perfect.
Often, when you archive a dvd(using dvdxcopy), you can
put it onto a dvd+rw disc first. And if you want to keep it, use Nero to copy the dvd+rw disc onto dvd+r etc.
But remember, Nero WILL NOT not do a straight up copy
of a store bought factory dvd because of the
encryption. But it seems to be able to copy
discs created by dvdxcopy. tech details are not know,
but apparently dvdxcopy does enough decryption
so that Nero will be able to copy a dvdxcopy disc.
buy dvdxcopy at a store and pay cash.
if you can use an anonymous proxy server
service when 'registering' dvdxcopy during the
install process. surely 321studios will be busted
sooner or later and their customer list will be confiscated by big brother.
dvdxcopy creates and Archive.txt file onto the
dvd when it burns it. It contains version information
and other such stuff. Perhaps used to track who
made the dvd? I am sure that dvdxcopy probably
encodes this information somewhere in the other
files on the dvd. But you might as well replace
Archive.txt contents with garbage. As a
paranoid precaution, make sure the file is the
same size as the original Archive.txt. You can do
this step after dvdxcopy spits out the original
dvd and BEFORE you put in the dvd blank for copying.
You can also get rid of the annoying dvdxcopy
warning message by using IFOEdit. There may be
an easier way to remove it, but the ifoedit
procedure takes about 1 minute. Unfortunetly
the links or steps in the procedure are not
in possession right now. they are (or were)
on the web....probably in this forum.
there are plenty of dvd slipcase cover archives out there. these can be easily printed using
ms-word and a color printer that can handle
legal size paper. The typical size of a dvd cover
is 7.25 inch high and 10.75 wide(5 1/8 for the
front and back and 1/2 for the spine). set up
ms-word to use legal size paper in landscape mode.
download cover pic from inet and load it into ms-word.
edit picture so that the size is 7.25 by 10.75
give or take a little.
if you would like to backup your backed up copy of dvd x copy dvd, use easy cd creator 5 platinum. I've used it before to copy a copied dvd that i burnt using dvd x copy. It works great.
I have had problems with the initial disclaimer screen with dvdxcopy and playing in my car's dvd player. There is a program called 321 gone which removes this screen and it works great.
Hmm. I tried using Nero Recode to copy a DVDXcopy DVD and I got as far as analyzing the disc, but when I tried to burn it, I got an "Unexpected error in DVD processing" immediately after the message "Compiling DVD Volume". Any idea why this is and how to get around it?
im using dvxcopy gold and its working fine,.,., to make a copy of a backup movie use instant copy 7.0
im using this program and i have done 5 spiderman copys of a backup movie from dvdxcopy gold
