***********************************************
I introduce you the xbox 360 system with the most cooling fans in the world: Fanbox 360.
Totaling 12 fans, this is one monstrous beast. It draws 2 amps from a additional 60 watt power brick. It has 9 additional fans plus a pair of Talisomoon Max fans.
Fan count:
1 120mm x 25mm Evercool Aluminum 79CFM: Intake over CPU Heatsink and fan power strip
1 80mm x 25mm Evercool Aluminum 32CFM: Exhaust over DVD drive and video connector
3 60mm x 25mm Evercool Aluminum 24CFM: Exhaust on right grill
3 60mm x 10mm Evercool High-Speed 20CFM: 2 underside exhaust over GPU and CPU and memory heatsinks. 1 attached to CPU heatsink
1 50mm x 10mm Sunon 10CFM: Exhaust into Hard drive
2 60mm Talismoon Max: Stock exhaust location
All this is powered by an additional 60 watt 12V power brick. All fans and connectors are modular and completely strip-able.
Led Rocker switch controls all fans, and a Scythe Kama Thermo Mini Thermometer detects temperature at the hottest spot directly over the GPU core.
Pictures:
All I have to say is finally I can play my damn xbox!

let's see some action shots of the scythe kama thermometer. the evercools on top is nitpicking, but if it does it's job, it's worth it.

Did some preliminary testing last night with GRID. It's a very demanding game and runs at 114.6F on only Talismoons. With 9 additional fans the GPU cooled 4F to 110.4F. This is really good since the sensor is directly over the GPU die, so i suspect probably a good 10 degrees drop elsewhere in the xbox.
And interestingly Enemy Territory Quake Wars ran at 107F and 103F respectively.

Looks like nice work, but it seems to be overkill. Was all this actually necessary?

I would like to know where to get the little heatsinks from lol, I might chuck them in when i eventually upgrade to talismoon fans. For the best cooling ever just take the bloody case off! microsoft Made its 360 a big white thermal blanket i think. Then changed it to black for elite version. I used to play mine with no case and it never really felt that warm, put case back on, blowing hot air after ten minutes.....

LOL that's the funniest thing ever!!!! Looks like with all that money and time you spent on this, you could have bought a Falcon. You should enter this in the "Best Way to F Up Your 360" contest, you would win for sure.

even if he got the falcon, it's still prone to RROD. the extra heatsink is placed where there's no ventilation, so it'll heat up fairly quick. why waste more money on a new system if you can fix the old one.

no they don't. i have a falcon, and i still had to do the fanshroud mod. the hot air would be stuck inside without it.
they should be using copper heatsinks instead of aluminum to have best heat transfer.
the jasper motherboard will run a LOT cooler due to the 65nm process.

With all due respect, do you know what you are talking about??? Are you trying to bait me into a fight by acting so clueless?? I had a non-Falcon and it would get hot as a firecracker after 1 min. My Falcon now barely gets warm after hours.

i do know what i'm talking about. the system heats up due to poor airflow. even with the extra heatsink in the falcon, there's no positive airflow for the extra heatsink to cool off.

I got the blue ones from www.svc.com It's also my supplier for the Aluminum Evercools.
The gold heatsinks I got form ebay seller in HK for cheap. I can give you his ebay ID if you want.

didn't the talismoon fans come with two heatsinks? you could've use those instead of the gold ones.

Yeah, those were very crappy compared to the gold ones, so I yanked them off. Also I attached these gold sinks permanently using Arctic Silver epoxy.
