I use ripit4me with decryptor and then shrink 3.2 to open. when I click "back up" in shrink..it hesitates then the shrink window closes. It has never did this before. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

Are you trying to rip the movie with Shrink ? if so switch to

DVD Fab - free and does all - just make sure you keep it updated.
DVD Fab to rip > Shrink to encode > Imgburn to burn. Never failed me yet.
other then that - google "DVD shrink opens then closes" and yopu will see all the threads already on this subject.

Crab is right. It would be a good time to update your process a bit.

RIP DvdFab Hd Decrypter

Compress With Dvd Shrink

Burn with Imgburn.

All freeware and all linked in the two links in my sig.

ok, DVD fab completed and I clicked "finished" and it just went back to the original dvdfab window. Shrink didn't open automatically. I see the file was created in my documents but what do I do with that file? How do I continue to burn the disc using shrink and image burn? I am not that experienced so please tell me in simple terms step by step. I would really appreciate that. thanks

Use shrink

1) open files tab, click
2) browse for the correct file
3) for a fab created file need to keep on clicking till you find the video ts file
4) click the video ts file and then the open tab on shrink
5) if all is ok, then click the shrink back up tab on the top toolbar.
6) for back up target select iso (or image file)
7) select ok, let shrink do it's thing
8) burn newly created iso file with Imgburn (free from www.imgburn.com)

thanks for the step by step. However, it did the same thing...when I clicked "backup" within shrink the shrink window dissapeared. It's weird how shrink justs shuts down. It is the latest version of shrink too. any suggestions would be much appreciated. Are there any other programs I can try that do the same thing shrink does?

Are you using vista ? If so you need to be logged on as the admininstrator and allow dhrink to function (allow to run) to be able for shrink to work.

If you start using Imgburn - here is a link to make Shrink autoburn with Imgburn (link is from iluvendo's post awhile ago)

http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/DVD_Shrink_3_2_b_w_IB.zip

Is shrink working OK now since you unchecked Nero ?
