Sub Titles missing after DVD Shrink

Hello again,
I posted a few questions here last week and you all were very helpful.

my project is to place a foreign film + cartoon + MovieTone News trailer on an 8 gig DVD for presentation at a school.

So far, I have been successful in inserting all the info. I am working off my hard drive before burning to make sure all is well.

I am using DVD Decrypter to transfer all files to the HD and Using DVD Shrink to assemble the components to the new disk.

However, the original movie is in Italian and the sub titles are in english. I cannot get the subtitles to show on the video. I have done my DD and have all the options on DVD shrink set to display the subtitles, however they are not there.

any help will be appreciated.

How are you testing the output from DVD Shrink.
If you use Windows Media Player are you selecting the subtitles ('Play' 'Captions and Subtitles').

Hello Attar,
thanks for the reply. yes i have all the correct settings in media player. i will see the sub titles if i proof the video after i transfer files with dvd dycrypter. however when i use dvd shrink to re-author, the titles go missing. do you know of another program similar to dvd shrink that i might use. i do like the features in shrink?

Just to be clear, the subpictures were selected and the option to hide small files is not checked off in 'Preferences'.

fist of all thanks for taking the time to post the graphic.

yes that box is not ticked. there is also a spot in "stream selections" that if ticked, would disable all subpicture. its not checked. i will not give up on this. can you suggest another program that might do what shrink does.?

Do other subtitled movies show this behavior in DVD Shrink.
