Why is that DVDxcopy Express copies the DVD and then won't burn it because there's too much data? Why isn't it smart enough to know how much data fits on a DVD+R disc and not make you go through the hour long process of copying the original?

Never heard of this problem before. You should contact 321 studios because Xpress should indeed resize the files before burning - I presume you are getting a message? Of course there is a better way altogether. Use DVD Shrink latest to do the same job. It takes longer if you use 'deep analysis' option (which you should) but the result is now better than anything 321 can come up with, plus it's free!

The first time I started doing dvds I downloaded my *cough*illegal*cough* version of DVD XCopy Platinum v3.2.1. I had that same error. Its because when it auto compresses it, it doesn't do it enough. You can either manually compress it alittle bit more, then it will succesfully burn. Or you can do one better like Discmania said. Use DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypt then burn with Nero 6 Ultra. Plus not using DVD XCopy, you get rid of the annoying 321 Studios screen that they put on your movie. Save your money and go free!

I think Skenzer is referring to DVDXCopy Xpress (not DVDXCopy) - you cannot change anything with Xpress.

Yeah but if he has DVD XCopy the only difference is about pushing 3 buttons and moving a sliding bar. Its common sense and yes I misread what he wrote. My bad. Thats pretty sad considering I'm in a college english class, ugh back to H.S. I go...
