hi

i have my ps3 on hd mode but sometimes the ps3 is not displayed on the hd channel so then i reset the display settings on the ps3 but then for some reason i have to wait until the next morning and then the ps3 come on hd mode. if i do it before the following morning there will be no display on the screen.

1 more question: do u have to keep the av cable connected when the ps3 is connected with an hdmi

I only have an answer to your last question.
No, you do not need to leave the AV cables plugged in when you are using HDMI. Trying unplugging the AV cables to see if that helps with your HD problem. It could be that they interfere with each other when you reset the display settings. I'm only speculating here, though.

it has happened to me because my playstation reset its settings for no reason but i dont no why yours isnt working

I think i fixed it like escalante said you only have to have the hd cable connected when ps3 is on hd mode so i changed the settings and saved them , took off the av cable and now its working fine but not sure if it will happen again or not
