Hey guys, i was just thinking, since the ps3 doesn't stream certain movie formats very well, or at all, i came up with an idea, i dont know whether or not it'll work.

My plan is to buy a NAS, with Usb + Lan support,

I dont know how NAS works, but would it be possible to have the nas connected to the ps3 via usb, and have it also connected to my network via wired 100mbps lan???

this way, i can directly connect to the nas from any of my networked pc's, and drag/drop files directly onto it, and since itll be full time connected to my ps3 via usb, i can run them direct off the nas hdd?

would this work?

To my understanding, you can only connect with one at a time. My external hard drive lets me use USB or firewire but it can't do two at once.
