hi im thinking of buying a ps3 but first i have a question if you can upgread youre hd to a biger one what hapens to the games youv downloaded and if thayre on the harddrive can you upload them to your comp and post it on the web or did thay protect them whith a user only code like thay did whith the itunes? sorry for the dumb question but im still a noob :) .ps iv just found this site if what i think is true then this is a scam take a look thay sy free games and movies but beware i think its fake http://www.gamermediadownload.com/index.php tell me what you think

Any games you have downloaded from the PSN you will be able to download again (the PSN know which games you have paid for and so allows you to download them 5 times).

All other games you will own and therefore just need to reinstall.

huh yes iv sean the 5 time lemit like on the other post to share but only whith frend but the game is download to the hd in the playstation right it has to be installed somewhare so it must be the hd if so why cant you just copy the installed game into your comp or into the new harddrive do you need some kind of software to be able to see the files or some thing along those lines?

There is a section in system properties that lets you back up you existing drive to an external drive however I've never used it and am unsure what it actually backs up.

Yup as liamrabey says there is a backup utility on the PS3. I havent used it either but you connect your larger drive via usb then tell save the backup on it. Think its a straight copy, but if it is uncompressed then obviously you'll have to then decompress the backup.

Like they said, any game that you download off of the PSN, you can re-download it 5 times. Any game saves (progress in the game) can be down loaded to a small USB Thumb Drive and then reloaded to your new HD. It is EASY.

thats good so even if thay acount coded it like the itune mp3 files you can copy the games data and if thats true then its only a matter of time befor some hacker brakes the code if thay have not allready after all thay did break the blue-ray copy protect preaty fast
