I've been downloading quite a few themes from PS3Themes website. Some of them reflect the name of the theme correctly but some just say something like sample. Is there anyway to change that? I gather that when they are compiled sample is the name of the xml file but I don't know how to get at that to change it.

You can't change it. It's named in the file itself.

There is but I don't think you can disassemble or edit them after the theme is put together with the programs we have now.

Part of the reasoning for that is the name of the theme creator is located in the same file as the theme name so if someone could change the theme name they could also change the name and call it their own and steal someones work.
