hey guys i just installed this laser into my ps3, but im having problems with it, it will only read regular dvd's and cd's it will not read blu rays still!!

i have a 60 gig that didnt read anything, i replaced it with a kem400aaa from programmer.cc and fired it up. i can now play blu ray media but i still cannot play dvd or cd media. i have read that its possible to have a bad "new" laser that was sent, also there is an on going discussion about controller boards and if that could be the issue. people say that they are keyed to the mother board but none of these have been factual as of yet. its all hearsay. read through the thread titled blu ray drive dead.
