When you buy a movie from the ps3 store can you save it to a external drive to watch anywhere? also what kind of format is the movie you download?

I'm not sure about whether or not you can save on an external HDD, my guess would be no because then you can just copy to your computer or something and that's not what it was intended for. Since it has to be able to play on the PSP as well, the format will most likely be MPEG-4.

the file is .MVN. I used proxy server and was able to download one from a link.. cant do anything with the file though being that its encrypted

what kind of quality is it? i was thinking about just renting the movies on there instead of going to video store if there hd quality like they say.
