Hi,
I am trying to find a way to play the clip my friend sent me. One, she used DVD shrink and it plays on her system fine.
She sent me a small VOB file 5mb but what ever I do, I can't get it to play. I even DL 123 Media classic player.
I guess my question is she said her region is locked to 2 and 4. Would this be the cause of the problem. I am region 1
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hey Thanks, this player is working but now for some reason, I keep getting only a ten second clips with just the words in the begining.
What are we doing wrong. I think this has something to do with DVD shrink.
My friend sent me 4 different files but they all contain the same thing, just the words at the begining.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why would it have anything to do with Shrink? Are you doing something to the file?
What other files came with this VOB?

I am just figuring shrink, because she is trying to copy it but it seems to only copy the words in the begining.
The vob is the only file she sent me. She is try to send me a clip of an interview.
Can it have somthing to do with the regions?

She can view the files before she creates the clip using Shrink.
DVD Shrink will make the files region free.
Tell her to send you all the files from the clip or convert it to AVI or WMV and then send it.

I don't understand.
Wasn't she the one who made the clip in the first place using DVD Shrink?
I think you should do nothing until she gets her re-authoring correct or you could try creating new IFO's using IfoEdit.

Okay I think I need to start this over by asking a very simple question.
What is the easiest way to copy a small clip from the DVD? Would Shrink be it?
Okay my friend converted the clip and now it says, converted to vlc media file (.mp4) size 48.3B
But she still can't send it to me. Why?
Thanks for the help.

Re-author your clip to a new folder. If you're looking to email this clip, convert it to AVI or WMV.

Okay... Thanks again!
Hey she used Mov Avi Trail conversion. Hahaha So now I guess my question is... Is there anyway to remove the words that keep coming up over their faces to promote their software! Hahaha
Thanks!

I think you mean that the program leaves a watermark or something similar. Try using AutoGK (free).

Thanks once again! Will she be able to make it in WMV? She had a problem trying to send me the AVI file but the WMV worked fine.
