I switched to ativa 16x dvd-r and its working. I have been burning for a while now and I have used the office depot brand without fail so I do not understand why this is happening. Can someone help?

I have already used from my batch of office depot with no problems. The last few times I tried though I would get an error the first time I tried to burn it but when I started it over again using the same disc it ran.

Real strange how it worked 'till the last few of the depot brand, and then all is well with your current stocks! If you have your backup method down pat and you stick to that process time and time again (no multi-tasking blah blah) it must be a dodgey disc or two. At least the cost of each failed disc isn't too much, and your up and running....which is real good news.
Cheers.
