hmm, let's say 1 million out of 6million XBL account owners are using modified consoles, it is not weird that it takes a period of time to actually ban a million accounts. (it's probably less than 1m but hey you get the idea)
shame the designated post at X-S isn't loading, I'd love to setup a database. What important is that people know what kind of drive they have (and is it spoofed or not), which firmware they are using. Too many people don't even know..

that doesn't matter - they banned your console ID, not your optical drive with the hacked firmware. You gotta buy another xBox if u wanna get back on live now.

lol a million people with modded consoles. I have almost 100 people on my friends list and I can tell you for sure not one of them has a modded console. My estimate for the number of people with modded consoles is at most 50,000, as it was obvious that one day microsoft would find a way to ban people.
I haven't been banned yet as I am lucky and have exams until june so won't be going on until then. Hopefully some of the hackers will find a solution to play online still by the time I finish my exams. If not I suppose I'll just buy another 360 to play only good online games with, and keep my modded one to play single player games, which there will be plenty of, e.g assassins creed, bioshock, too human, etc.

right im gonna buy a used cheap 360 but the only game i play online with rainbow six then have fun also guys ok it will not let me only but i dont get the blue streen about me being band where do i find the blue screen i know im banned but people are getting band with mod

dude what ever im playing 2k7 while on computer
right im gonna buy a used cheap 360 but the only game i play online is rainbow six also guys i cannot get online but i dont get the blue screen about i know im banned but people are getting band with out mod

oh, why couldn't you post that before, lol! Well some people think tha they're consoles aren't modded, but like has been said before, many people have sent their broken 360's to microsoft with modded firmware, and microsoft has refurbished them without checking the firmware and sent them to other customers who don't play copied games.
I can't help you with the banned screen, but sooner or later I'm sure eveyrone will be banned its just a matter of time. I'm like you i'll just get a second hand 360 off ebay and use it for online games, just graw 2 and Gears of War for me, and when I'm off it i'll let my bro play FFXI online and i'll just play with my other 360 for campaign games and boost my gamerscore or sumfink. At the end of the day its no biggie for me, but I feel sorry for people who were unaware they had a moddedconsole sent to them by microsoft, that is where they have messed up big time.

oh and when you test yor xbox connection and it says failed, read the z reading when you click on more details, it doesn't show all zeros, which is normal and shows something like Z:8015-1918, you have been banned.

wow i didnt know that happen about people sending there 360 in, micro sending them to people etc wow, it sucks because i met people on live n now i cant play and interact with them until i get more money,but its pretty funny i dont truly understand micro ok the people who play backups they dont buy games so lets prevent them from spending money on live ? also com4ever from what people told me hes a great guy so i wont bash but i believed him about the 5.3 boy was i wrong i wont believe him again

Sorry to hear this,Yesterday or today is a disaster day for moded xbox360 community :-) To be or not be but its a crackdown.
I dont know but why i m not banned but sooner or later they gonna find me,My specs are:

firmware C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth
Downloaded beta halo with copy crackdown game.Played halo for 2 days total 4 hours.But i made new gamertag free one month gold subscription for this game.
But now i am back in original firmware.

true, but with the seller, i'll ask if the console is modded or not, and keep the reply saved under my emails. If they do make a firmware that can somehow get around the ban it will not be for a while. First they have to find out HOW the consoles are being detected. Then they have to figure out if there is and way around it. Then they have to create the firmware.
There are still parts of the 360 (the ping timer) that people have still not figured out a way around, and have pretty much given up on it. For those who do not know the ping timer is what is messing up the ability for people to connect and play on the free online services like Xlink Kai and XBconnect. Pretty much leaving you stuck with MS or nothing at this point. If they could find a way around that i would not bother with Xbox Live at all. I would just use the free services like i did with my Xbox.
and Ebay sellers can be like a bunch of sharks. Once they smell blood they will go for the kill. So if they know about the ban, and have an unmodded console. Then they will know that they can charge a lot more for it as it will be in big demand.
Supply and demand. Basic market stratagy.

They are pc based programs that act as a system link so you can still play others around the world. Its not playing on xbox live.

No, it is not Xbox Live. But it is free online play. They are completely different servers from Xbox Live. And they do not ban you for modded consoles (or cheating which is the bad part)
You will run into a lot of people using cheats in these games online, But it is the price you pay for free, no banning online systems. There is a way around that of course. You can set up password protected rooms where just you and the people you know and give the password to can play. You can use it with your regular Xbox if it is modded. Not sure if you can use it with unmodded or not.
