I'm trying to compare the quality between HC encoder and CCE SP 2.7 Encoder. Converting mkv directly to DVD for best quality

The only software I know that can use CCE is avi2dvd, but unfortunately it doesn't support the newer CCE version

So, is there any other software that I allows me to use CCE SP encoder and can support mkv container?

Thanks alot.

Download the newest version of The Film Machine. It's free and I am a huge fan. It includes HCEncoder and QuEnc. However, you can import CCE and Procoder and CCE 2.7 is supported in the latest version. You can also import Minnestroka DTS Encoder and Sonic Foundry for the audio encoding.

Be sure to modify your default settings in CCE as that is what will be used to encode automatically and check Film Machine options to set the path and number of passes and TV format (PAL,NTSC)
