1.)It sounds like an overheating problem but I don't think that much dust could have built up within a month.
2.)No one has run into a size restriction yet, the largest hdd that fits the ps3 atm is 500gb. No it wont void the warranty in fact Sony encourages people to upgrade. Just make sure the hdd is a 2.5" sata @ 5400rpm.
3.)Yes but your computer must be powerful enough to handle it.
4.)Depends on the ambient temperature and what you are doing on the ps3 at the time, if you just start up the ps3 and you're in the xmb it shouldn't be loud. But if you're watching a bluray or playing a demanding game you will likely hear it if your tv is very low.
5.)Battery or before it wears out? Battery lasts at least 4 hours for me, I use the DS3.
6.)All hdmi cables with gold connections should yield the same quality under 10'.
7.)Yes but only through HDMI.
8.)Manually switch it to 720p, 1080i is inferior to 720p.
9.)All ps3's but the 20gig have built in wifi.

Thank You for all the Great answers
1. I forgot to ask but is there any special settings to set the video or display.
2. So only HDMI has 7.1 because my Home theater Supports 7.1 and I'm connect through Optical
3. I'm looking for a Damn Good Dependable 500GB HDD (NO SEAGATE)

6. HDMI cables do vary in speed. I recommend unless you're running your PS3 on a very nice tv, to go with something over $30 but don't go over $80. Because of the version transfer rate it can make a big difference. Don't buy super expensive HDMI cables unless your TV does 1080p.

Sorry but false, as long as the hdmi cable is version 1.3 with gold connectors your going to get the same quality under 10' regardless of brand names or price tag.
