DVD Shrink no longer recognizing Nero burner

I have DVD Shrink 3.2 which I have been using for a few years. All of a sudden things happened this week. All dvds are shrinked, but the program will not recognize my burner. I have been using the burner program a few years. I get the message movie is ready for my burner. I haev the "Use Nero for burning" checked in preferences.

Today I uninstalled the nero and installed nero 6.6.14 I have from a while back. I uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Shrink and the problem continues to happen. I don't find anything in the help section. Nothing has been done to my computer. I am puzzled how the program I love and use all the time stopped working.

Any ideas??

why not try doing a system restore to the day before you started having problems, it just might work

My best advice would be to use Imgburn in leiu of Nero ~ http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/DVD_Shrink_3_2_b_w_IB.zip

After Uninstall, did you run a good registry cleaner? Maybe uninstall, run a registry cleaner, restart then reinstall Dvd Shrink and follow Loco's advice.

Thanks for your suggestions. The system restore did not work. I went back to more than a month ago for the beginning date.

I already have the shrink 3.2 fom the link.

I removed nero and re-installed from the installation CD (6.3) I received with my computer a couple of years ago. All worked after that.

Is a newer Nero version available that would work with my current installation number Or would I have to buy an update for Nero?

Is there a program similar to Shrink available? I like being able to shrink the DL disc files to fit on a regular less pricy DVD blank. I always use Verbatim.

Your old serial will not work with other versions of Nero. Have you tried Imgburn? The full version of Nero includes Recode which is similar to DVD Shrink if you'd want to try it, but I think DVD Shrink remains a strong contender especially coupled with Imgburn.
