What is the error you are getting? Do remember, the more specific you can be, the easier for us to try and help you out.

What program are you ripping your discs with? Sounds like a problem with leftover CP.

it just shows that it has stoped working and a new window pops up that says that a problem caused dvd shrink to stop working

Left over Copy Protection. Meaning if you were trying to rip with Dvd Shrink alone, it may not be able to handle it by itself.

Are you ripping with Anydvd or letting AnyDVD run behind DVD Shrink. Don't use DVD Shrink and let AnyDVD do the ripping for you, instead use the AnyDVD ripper and then open your files in "reauthor" mode with DVD Shrink.

Go to...
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

And look for IE8 there. If it's there uninstall it, run a registry cleaner (Ccleaner) then reboot.

i usually just let anydvd run and then open files in dvd shrink. least wise thats what i've been doing for the past yr. i don't think that it has anything to to with the copy protection. Because like i stated earlier i was able to one of the dvds on a previous occasion. i believe it has something to do with 7thsingers comment. But i could be wrong i am very new. thanks for your concerns though

If you are using Vista IE8 is seen as an update so it won't be listed in Add/Remove programs. Here is how to remove it ~ http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/03/07...8-ie8-in-vista/
