Basically I got a deal off of a mate this week who had 2 x RARE 60GB PAL PS3's and he sold me one for £240 RESULT>

It works on all the PS2 games I have tried, all back-up DVD's I have tried but can I use Region 1 DVD's on it at all? I have tried one and it said something like un-readable disc due to region error.

So is there away around this yet as not found one personally :-(

Cheers

The only way would be to rip the video from the region 1 disk and either reburn it as region 2 or simply use the video file from the rip. That's about all you can do unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply mate - the odd thing is I have tried this and for some reason it wont let me burn the disc or copy it?
I have tried Nero also Roxio but neither will let me copy the DVD they get a long way through then fail, any reason for this that you can think of or any software worth using that you'd recommend?

Thanks

Just so you know one of the DVD's which I am doing this on is my Daughter high School Musical 1, it has 2 versions of the film on the disc, could this be the prob and is there a way around it?

Thanks again

Carl

Cheers

The problem is likely that there's copy protection on your DVD. There are a variety of programs you can use to bypass this in order to backup your DVDs. One of them is AnyDVD, and you can get a free trial copy from its website.

...but I have to admit that the copy protection would usually disallow you to copy from the very beginning, not half-way through the copy like you said it did.
