I read a few of these threads already, but none of which sounds the same as mind, so I will add a new for solving.
Hardware:
Vista Ultimate
DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15
Nero 9 full retail version (purchased from best buy)
Medium: Memorex 8X DVD-R, and Kodak 6X DVD+R
For the record, I have had no issue using the same medium on XP Pro SP2, with Nero 6 and DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 before. I just bot a Lenovo W500 with Vista Ultimate, so Nero 6 won't work any longer, so I bot Nero 9.
I was able to shrink the dvd no problem. I am able the burn succesfully also, but when I tried to play on a dvd player (OPPO 981), the disc plays the intro/disclaimer, and it plays the trailers, when it comes time for title screen, it JUMPS into the middle of the movie and stay in that one chapter and repeats the same chapter. Also the subtitle is running. I try using both the DVD+R and DVD-R. Both have the same problem.
When I put the same disc back in my computers (Lenovo W500 and T61), they played fine. I use the W500 to burn as thats the only burner I have.
I am guessing it is something to do with Nero. Maybe some kind of copy protection.
Need help.

No, I did not use DVDfab as I didn't think I need to. DVD usually rip and burn (via Nero) without problem. This never happened before. I will try your method and see how it goes. My guess is that Nero 9 did something to prevent proper burning of data, but then how can you explain the disc playing normally on my computer as well as my work computer? Something causes to DVDplayer to read the disc incorrectly?

Try a different brand/type of media. Maybe your DVD player doesn't like what you are using.
What brand of media are you using?

How do you burn using Imgburn through DvdShrink? From the target device, I can't seem to located Imgburn option? I have uninstalled Nero 9, but still DVD Shrink doesn't pickup the burning software. Why should I do this? I have ripped the movie using DVD Fab in DVD-9 format, now I need to shrink and burn.
Some help please?

I have the same problem. Nero 6 and dvdshrink work very well. As soon as I use nero 9 it screws up the dvd. I burn copies of my disney movies as they are irreplaceable, so I (or my kids) dont screw em up. it works great until I use nero 9. i also had to upgrade because of vista. Now, I downgraded to win xp, used nero9 and the SAME problem. I uninstalled and used Nero 6 and it worked fine, so can anyone help either of us with the Nero 9 problem? If I burn the video files just with Nero9, skipping the dvdshrink step it does the same thing.

It's been documented here and elsewhere that shrink doesn't work with
Nero 8 & 9.
Why don't you just use IMGBURN?
It's easy to use, set Imgburn to burn from files and folders,
and drag the created video_ts folder to the imgburn window.
