Please help. So after Shrink scans the original DVD and ejects it, it waits for a blank disk to be put in so it can burn. After I put in the blank DVD it just stops working. It just keeps saying "Checking discs" with the progress bar that just keeps going and going forever. I have Nero 5.5.10.56 installed and my burner is a PBDS CDRWDVD DH-48C3S that runs on DVD+R media, which I'm using. Does anybody have any ideas on this? Thanks for the help.
Have you enabled burning with NERO (under the Shrink preferences)? If yes, then it could be one of the many issues of Shrink not working well with Nero - check out some of the threads on afterdawn - there are loads!!
Also - if you are backing up a newer disk then Shrink can't get rid of the copy protection. You'll need to use DVD Fab Decrypter or one of the many others first - then run it through Shrink.
It might be easier just to get Shrink to make an iso, and then burn with a prog like IMGburn or even Nero manually. I would recommend checking out the 'how to' guides section and using IMGburn which can be downloaded from the downloads section.
I have enabled "Burning with Nero". It also can't be a copyright issue because I made the dvd, there is no copyright. I might just try a different version of Nero.
Shrink and Nero v8 do not play well together. If you are using that version of Nero and want to keep it, then just turn off the autoburn feature and burn manually. Or better yet download ImgBurn and use it for your burning. It is free, very user friendly, and produces great burns. There is even a version of DVDShrink available HERE that you can autoburn with ImgBurn with.

You should not need any software to copy this disc to a new folder. Perhaps you had a bad burn, or scratches and fingerprints. Or maybe it's on cheap quality media and your drive simply cannot read it.
