DVD shrink does not shrink

I have used dvd shrink before and it has stopped working the same way. I don't believe that I have changed my computer in anyway prior to it malfunctioning. Since then, I have deleted and reinstalled many programs. The problem lies in the fact that dvd shrink does not preview the disc when it is opened. It moves directly to back up and the backup files are all in windows media player format. They have not been shrunk. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your attention. *email removed*

Are you saying that when you open a disc with Shrink it goes to Backup without you selecting backup?
Also what is the total file size of the disc?

DVD Shrink can't handle these new movies (DVDs) with tons of corrupted cells and protections now. You need to rip the files into your hard drive first using DVDFab HD Decrypter (FREE) or any of your desire ripper engine. Then you can have DVD Shrink to shrink/compress them.
