which ps3 will play ps2 games in the uk.just bought ps3 cechk03 won't play ps2 games going to send it back or is there a way round it?

Don't know about the UK, but I'm in the US and I got the 60GB PS3 and I've played/tested with PS2 games (compatible with PS1 and PS2 games) and it plays fine without any issue.

Heard that SONY switch to "software" in the UK for compatibility instead of "hardware/chip" and that's the issue for them.
