just downloaded dvd shrink read all ur guide followed it to a tea pressed backup and of it went but it came up encoding 1hr 28 min is this usual if so i would be better using my stand alone recorder for backups if it takes that long oh oh wait a min its just pinged up dvd shrink has encountered an error & cannot continue copy protection error incorrect function. well thats that solution up in the air all i want is somthing to make backups of my originals nothing to hard any help would be greatfull p.s i have also tried dvdxcopy does not like my computer does the whole operation great well i thought so put it in the dvd players 3 of them yes three of them and all it sayes on everyone of them is wrong disc plz help pretty plzzzzzz.

Before you ship out more $$$$ for DVD2One (a good program but you have to pay for it) why don't you head over to the "We Sell It 4 FREE Store" and check out DVDShrink. Better than some $$$$ programs and it doesn't cost a cent !
And a free trial burning program to allow it to burn to your DVD "automatically"

LASTLY,
Use only top quality media, I recommend Ritek G04 or Verbatim. If you would have used that and made sure you had no conflicting software, DVD XCopy would have worked for you !!
No matter the program, use cheap discs and don't expect it to work, it's that important !
an finally, rea your DVD Player's Mfg. spec sheet to see what media will play on it i.e. plus (+) R media or minus (-) R media.
