I have gone through and checked, DMA is turned on if available. The only other option is PIO only. I greatly appreciate the response and any other suggestions!!!

What does it say the 'Current Transfer Mode' is?

I will be honest Im not all that great with computers but I am slightly confused. My burner is listed as device 0 and in two different primary IDE channels two different current settings show. The one does say PIO mode as the current transfer rate. I do have DMA if available selected. To be truthful this is getting past my abilities with a computer and struggled to find the info I did. I hope this gets simpler!!!

When you ran the Device Manager, you probably looked at the properties of the Primary or the Secondary IDE Channel.
One of those channels you said had a device set "PIO".
Instead of looking at the Properties, select "Uninstall".
After it has been uninstalled, reboot the PC - the drivers will be reinstalled automatically and you can then go back and look at the Properties again to see if it is now DMA.
You cannot cause any harm or damage the PC by doing this.

I uninstalled the drive with PIO only selection. When I got booted back up and installed it now says DMA mode 2. I am currently running through a burn to see if successful.

@ wrangler8
Looks like you got some help from one of the experts, so there isn't much I can add, but I thought I would post a link to some info on possible causes of DMA reverting to PIO mode. Some of it is pretty technical and I don't understand it, but if you have this problem again it could be of some use to you in trying to track down the problem. Although, the problem was probably simply a number of read/write failures associated with your media. Happy burning :)

@wrangler8
The third line of your original post has your Nero serial number displayed.
It begins 1A20...
You should edit it out.
On the top right of the post header is a little notepad and pencil logo - click on that to edit your post.
