I have the latest version of DVD Shrink. I'm trying to copy Star Trek TNG DVDs. I'm using the reauthor feature because I only want specific episodes. The DVD usually has 4 episodes a peice. When I click on the second episode the DVD burner starts making a skipping sound and DVD Shrink freezes up and does not respond. If I select the first or third episode I do not have a problem. Is there anything else I can do to rip this episode? I use the reauthor tool becuse I can fit two episodes without having to compress. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like it could be a problem with the disk. Try ripping with DVD Decryptor first and then open the files from your hard drive.

DVD-RM,

Another vote for ripping with Decrypter HOWEVER then I suggest going with DVD2One in the "Join" mode. It is an incredibility easy way to do episode type DVD's. I did 12 episodes of Sex in the City, which came out GREAT !! Looked exactly the same as it did on HBO :-))

Oooohhhh Yea, by the way,

Welcome to the Neighborhood :D

I ripped the second episode to the hard drive using DVD Decrypter IFO mode...no problem.

Could I use DVD X-Rescue to back up the whole DVD and then use DVD Shrink to get the episodes I want?

Do I have to pay for DVD2One?

Thanks for the feedback.

DVD2One is not freeware , but once you've paid for it ... that's it [incl. updates]! :)

I chose to buy it a long while ago & very glad I did...
