I've had DVD Shrink on my pc for about a year now and all of a sudden yesterday it wouldn't open, it would just say "DVD Shrink 3.2 has stopped working" so I uninstalled it and downloaded it off the net again. I went to install it and the green bar got all the way to the end and the window "DVD Shrink 3.2 has stopped working" popped up again. I uninstalled it and downloaded it again from a different site. Same thing happened. Anyone know what I can do to remedy this problem???

Hi,
are you using IE 8, as it interferres with many programs, and if you can, uninstall and use IE 7, or preferably, use firefox.

Also after uninstalling, run a registry cleaner such as Ccleaner, to get rid of the old remnants before installing anew.

Nope I'm just using Firefox.
Ok I'll download it now, is that something good to have on my PC and run every now and again? How often?

Yes Ccleaner is a great program, IMO. I try and run it a least every other week, more if I am making quiet a few changes in programs. It will clean up fragments and other junk left behind in your registry and other areas. Helps keep things nice and tidy.
BTW- What is DEP? May be a dumb question but you don't know unless you ask!

Ok thanks.
DEP-Date Execution Prevention. I think what it does is if you have a file that it thinks is risky it won't let you install it.
