What percentage of compression will still produce good video? I was trying to back up Fight Club, got rid of all the un-needed audio, but the movie is just so big, that my automatic compression on the video is at 66%, how good will the video be? On DVD shrink I never go under level 6, so I was wondering % is the lowest you guys would go?

yeah in order to increase the percent on my movie i decreased the percent in the extra features and menus. After i had burned them i watched them on my computer and thought they looked decent, but kinda gritty then i realized it was just my video card that sucked. So i tried it on a normal dvd player and it looked excellent.

SW20,

Beauty is in the eye - -

Backup the DVD, put the disc in your PC, select play, then you tell us - How is the picture quality ??

It's like saying to us, I am in Mexica on vacation and I don't want to look out the window, will someone please (Note, that I said Please) tell me what I'm going to see when I look outside ?

You say my example is simple, maybe - so if I told you the compression would be lousy, would you burn the disc but never watch it ??

OK, the picture is lousy !

(he,he I won't tell him I need coke-bottle eyeglasses, he, he)

(Wonderful Newbies, so soon will the "Grasshoppers" eclipse the "old Man")

Trust yourselves little ones, trust yourselves - - -
