I ran into this same issue a few days ago. I was adding the playlist icon and after that I tried adding the create a new playlist icon. It seems that every time I added the create a new play list icon the playlist icon would magically disappear. I tried saving as well but to no success. I switched to the latest PS3 theme creator and as Borat would say, "I had much success" using it than the PS3 theme builder. PS3 Theme creator was easier to use IMO. The only option that I find that the PS3 theme creator did not have that the PS3 Theme builder did have was the option of a Standard definition background. So anyway try suing the PS3 theme Creator and you will have Much success!! :P
You wrote that you used "PS3themebuilder". I used the PS3 theme creator. I ran into the same issue you are running into. I gave up and downloaded the "PS3Theme creator". Also I don't think it matters if your background was only in HD. It's safe to assume that your SD tv will down scale your HD picture if you have your PS3 hooked up to a SD TV. What icon were you trying to add? Like I wrote earlier when ever I tried to add the "Playlist" icon, it would get mysteriously get deleted when I added the "create a new playlist" icon. Is this happening to what ever icon you were trying to add?? I also saved every time I added an icon and it was still mysteriously deleted.
any icon i try to add, but the HD background dose not down scale or zoom in to fit the screen, im just wondering if anyone has any solutions fo rme to get icons and background, i made my theme already, and i just use a wallpaper, but i just wanna know if there is a solution so i dont have to use wallpaper.
The HD background will scale down. Depends on what settings you use for your SD TV. On occasion I transfer my PS3 to my SD TV. When you choose the type of video output (I use S-Video on my SD TV) you have the option of choosing 4:3 or 16:9. Most SD TV's are 4:3 (choose the aspect of your TV, not the aspect you want). When you choose 4:3, the HD background will appear with black bars over the top, just like any widescreen 16:9 movie will appear on a 4:3 SD TV.
