I can also play PS3 games from a backup. It's just tough because I can't see the screen and usually bump into my TV. I would buy a modded mirror so that you can see where you are going.
Thing is is that even if they do finally hack the PS3, you'd only be after the small games, <10GB. Even with a 20mb connection a 25GB game would still take ages to download. So most people wont bother and buy the games.
So with that at point, and knowing that Sony lose out on consoles sold but make money on games, they really should leak ways to hak the PS3, sure they'd still lose out on consoles, but eventually people would realise that downloading the larger games isnt worth it unless they want to wait a few months (download a bit at a time so the ISP dont susspect anything), and so buy the game increasing Sonys profits that way.
How do I get this thread closed? This user, irgatto, started a thread about PS3 backups which clearly goes against forum rules. I had a similar thread about the same topic basically and it was closed immediately. It therefore fair to close this thread if mine was closed also. I don't believe in double standards.

Wrong. It is not against the rules. you have to read them correctly to interpret it the right way.
