Sounds like your icons are really not executable. I assume that you are double-clicking them from the Desktop. If you are running WinXP, click on Start>All Programs. Look for the DVD Decrypter program. Try running those programs from there. If that works, that means that you did not copy the icons to the Desktop correctly.
There is no magic about these relatively small programs:DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink. If those icons were placed on the Desktop properly, the running of them should be a "no-brainer." . . . .
Believe me. What you are experiencing is the LEAST of your problems in burning a DVD. See my postings elsewhere.
I've had great luck with burning DVD's so far with Ritek G04 DVD-Rs and Lite-On LDW-411S using DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter, Image Tool, and DVD Fab. Thanks to everyone in this forum.
The icons were copied correctly, I can't run the programs from anywhere... I even try from the source.
I have no clue, I've never had a program not run like this.
Like I said not a big deal just annoying to have to re-install the programs almost every time.
Since you get no action by clicking on the icon, does is not seem reasonable that something irregular happened during download and installation. This kind of problem as in many other other can be solved by a process of elimination. What I would do is start from scratch and download each program. Be careful with each step. You need to get something done that you know is correct, something that works the same each time you work with it. I do not know your practice of storing downloaded programs, but I suspect that you may be a bit fancy where you should keep thing simple.
Here's the basic idea. You should not behaving the kind of problem that you are having if you downloaded and set up the program properly(assuming no problems with your mouse).
