Backed up one of the discs from Moonlight using AnyDVD in the background (no structural protection), then ran thru DVD Shrink and burned with ImgBurn.. No problems at all, back-up disc looks great..
Was going to burn a second copy and ImgBurn couldn't find the file.. Guess I had checked "delete after successful burn".. So I figured, no big deal.. In ImgBurn went to create image from disc and got read error after read error.... ImgBurn couldn't read the disc it just burned which doesn't make sense to me (and no, I'm not using "crap" these were Verbatim +R's)..
So I ending going back and running the original disc thru AnyDVD, Shrink and them ImgBurn again... and a second copy that plays beautifully just like the first..
So, question is.... Why couldn't ImgBurn read the disc it just burned???
Thanks.

Silly question; did you have Imgburn set in Read mode?

It's not Imgburn. It's your DVD drive.
Since it's an already burned disc, try to just copy the files to a new folder with out using any software.

Can other softwares, such as some media players, read and play movie from the disk you just burned? (Your prolem is only with ImgBurn?)
It sounds to me that the right source drive/folder aren't specified in ImgBurn.
Are there any chance that the drive letters C:, D:, E:, F:, etc mixed up by USB drive etc?
Or I might completely misunderstand your situation...

I would do as suggested by Dialysis and just copy via another software.
Does the dvd play in pc and standalone?

Hadn't tried copying the files from the disc (will give it a shot). Would I then have ImgBurn create an image from the copied files?
and yes, the back-up disc plays great on both my laptop and my stand-alone DVD player.

ImgBurn was looking at the the right drive (only 1 DVD in the laptop), it started off reading the disc, then kept coming up with read errors. As I mentioned above, the disc plays just fine. No USB drive connected.. Drives are C (main drive), D (HP Recovery partition) & E (DVD RW drive)... So when I pointed ImgBurn to "Create Image File from Disc", it was looking at the E drive.

I?ve never burned movies on my laptop, which is only my ?Vista?. So I installed and burned the movie ,which I ripped with DVDFab, with Shrink>ImgBurn (Auto). However I did not find any problem reading the disk including with ImgBurn.
I?m sorry that I cannot be your help.
