ok here i go i baught a ps3 off ebay the kid said it worked when i got it here after ten days in the mail from canada it doesnt work here is the problems i have found after starting up it gets super hot on the right side within 10 min and then freezes and gets goofy crap on the tv screen somtimes looks like the matrix i have noticed that the fan does not seem to be running and if it is it is not spinning very fast now i took it apart and the thing is so clean it is not even funny there was very little dust in it at all and the kid said he barely ever played it as far as i can see it was never opened before me it is a launch 20gb system please any one with the same issue or has any thing for me to try also i have rebooted holding the power button that did nothing i reformatted the drive quick it wont stay on long enough to do the full reformat i even tried to turn it on and do a update but got to 50% and froze up so those are the things i have already done.

lol that's the problem with ebay. That kid just ripped you off! His PS3 was probably dead and was cryng over it, but then decided "I'll sell it on ebay to a sucker and then use the money to buy a new one" unfortunately you were the sucker.

I know it's crap but that's what you get when you deal with kids. The only thing that can save you now is if you have it posted wth insurance, being a PS3 I hope you did. Then claim that the sender says t was working when he sent it to you and now it has been damaged in the post. It'll probably take a while but I'm sure you'll be able to claim it.

If they say something like theres no damage on the box, you can claim that the PS3 is an electronic product any hard sudden shock can damage the electronics inside.

If you didnt insure the package then sorry you're stuck with it and that kid is skipping to his local store to buy a new PS3.
