DVD Shrink 3.1.1 locks up with the error message (or similar) "Can't open [or find] 'VTS_01_5.VOB'", even though this file does not exist in the 'VIDEO_TS' folder. The movie is "[Van Dam] In Hell".

There were no errors during the DVD Decryptor process (I decrypt to my hardrive, run DVD Shrink on that, then burn to DVD).

I suspect that the file (IFO?, BUP?), that tells DVD Shrink that "VTS_01_4.VOB" exists, is corrupt.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Ashley

when using dvd decryptor, then DVD Shrink, you must rip all the files for it to work. try just using DVD Shrink with the original and see if it works.

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

Hmmm... guess I don't really know much about this stuff anyway :) I haven't been ripping that long.

I've started the Shrink again, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks,

Ashley

Oops, that was fast :)

Your method worked! And now I don't have to use decryptor (I think).

Yay,

Ashley

Just wondering if anyone knew how to get around it when the message says there is not enough space on the disk, and to please enter a disk with more space.
How do you burn this disk?

I'm a relative newbie, but I think you need to use DVD Shrink to shrink the movie (some more, if you already have).
