Hi,
I need some help here. I tried ripping a DVD of something which was transferred from a tape (it was taped off TV), and when I went to rip it with DVD Shrink, then burn it with DVD Decrypter, I looked at the DVD and there was sound only for a few seconds, but not for the rest of the DVD. I don't know why this happened, I tried ripping with DVD Shrink and burning with DVD Decrypter, and this never happened until now. I don't know what the problem is. Is there any way that it can be fixed?

Try to copy it to your computer without DVD Shrink and see if you still have this problem.

I did that with DVD Decrypter and I still had that problem. It copied the files to a .zip folder and it still didn't work.

Do you have any recommendations for other programs to rip the DVD?

There's no protection on the disc. Just copy them.

I know that, but are there any alternatives to DVD Shrink?

You don't need any ripping software.
Most likely that burned disc you have is bad.
You could try ImgBurn.
First use Read mode and then use Write mode.

Programs such as DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter etc don't alter the sound in any way, sound data is copies as-is. The sound problem was somehow caused in the initial transfer from tape.
