Hello all i have taken my 40 gig ps3 apart and noticed that the disks do not spin at all. But when i put a disk in the lazer turns red and clicks a few times yet no spin action at all. also the laser stays stationary does not move back and forth can someone please give me some helpful advise i have no warrenty and dont have money to send off if u have ne thing that could help pleaze share..!!

So many people have disk read problems. The other day I went to play a game and mine would not read a disc. I was getting scared but it turned out after a good vacuuming around the vents and a can of air it worked again. It may just be dirty

yea ive takin it apart clean everything but the main thing is the laser does not even move it just clicks for some reason i dont no if the laser motor is dead or wut it turns red but never blue and on other threads i saw that they had a blue light when they insert a disk idont understand
