Hey all.

Firstly, I'd like to say that I've been a lurker here on Afterdawn for a while. I've found a lot of my problems solved by these forums, and I really hope you guys/gals can help me out now.

I got my PS3 last year, and I thought it was working fine. I hadn't really tested it with any high-graphics games, but when I got Dead Space, it began to freeze. I exchanged the disks, because no other game I had was doing this, and it seemed to be fine. I managed to play through Dead Space without much of a problem.

So I neglect my PS3 for a while until today, when Killzone 2 comes out. I go to put it in, and the game freezes about 2 minutes into the game itself. I try it again a few times, and it only gets worse. At first, I thought it was simply overheating, but the yellow light doesn't come on, and it doesn't shut off. It just freezes.

The wierd part of it is, I can't figure it out. It's obviously not a disk error, because it reads other games just fine (PS2 games, and some less-graphical PS3 games like LittleBigPlanet). Its not overheating, because it would have shut itself off.

If anyone's had this problem, or if anyone has a possible solution, please help me out. I'd really rather not pay for another PS3, thank you very much =).
