Im using Vista Premium, the Nero I use is an 'acquired' copy, sometimes a DVD will burn ok, other times it fails, and always when Im trying to make a cd. I have Alcohol 120% which I paid for and this works 999 times out 1000. Cyberlink Power DVD doesnt work now either. I have loads of dvds to burn but having probs cause I ripped them using Shrink (100% copy tho, DVD 9's) and they are VOB files, the ISO's I had to make are OK using DVD Decrypter and Alcohol 120% has burned them 100% fine, no errors.

Is this a DEP issue? I had probs before with avi files and mpgs and I had to select not to show thumbnails and the problem went away.

This is doing my nut in!

This has been happening for a wee while now. I have Kaspersky AV installed and it auto scans twice a week, so there is nothing in my System that shouldn't be there.
I used to use DVD SHrink all the time to rip DVDs to my hard drive, it wont run. I used to use Nero 7 to burn audio CDs, it crashes when I add a track to the playlist. I used to use Power DVD to watch movies on the PC, that stopped working too, so I deleted it.
Something is causing a problem somewhere!

Hi already have this installed and used regularly as well, sorry forgot to say!
I have now removed Nero 7 and installed the trial for Nero 9. I have now burned an Audio CD successfully, and I will now try DVD Shrink.

* tried DVD shrink, same problem, crashes on startup. DEP error message comes up.
