Hi, i'm trying to backup Metallica - S&M - Cd1, and Dvd Shrink can't shrink it to fit on a Dvd.
Do i have to delete files, or there is another way?

I have yet to find a commercial dvd that cannot be backed up, either partially, or in it's entirety, onto a DVD5 single-layer blank, using DVDShrink.

Don't forget to click-on 'Compression Settings', and then choose 'Automatic'. DVDShrink will adjust the compression ratio automatically, according to your selected preferences (whole disc or movie-only). Your compression bar should be All Green.

Also, when using compression, always 'allow' (specify) that you want the 'Deep Analysis' feature enabled, if you wish to have the best compression quality. (This takes a lot longer, but amounts to a two-pass encode).

Or you can also do this with dvd shrink, choose Re-author mode instead of full disk, and you can choose to pick the feature film only and forget all the menus and extras.just simply click and hold the main movie, and drag and drop to the left hand side panel, after that, you can go to compression settings and here you can mess with the audio and subtitles that can also give you less compression on your dvd, take out director's comments, french, spanish, english.. or whatever you speak just choose that, use the same for subs.. and this should do the trick, perform the deep analysis if you want, but it takes way too long with that on, and truthfully i dont see any differences betweens movies ive done with or without the feature on... so its your choice. this method has worked great for me and ive backed up movies that are 2 hours and fifty minutes long with great succes.. hope i helped in any way
