Hello,
I have been using DVD Shrink and Nero 7 to make archival copies for a while now. As of recently, when attempting to do so, the burning process seems to fail. After many attempts and lost money on wasted media (DVD-R), I figured that I should seek some advice! Below is the most recent log from a failed burn attempt. Thanks in adavance for your support!!!

Turn on your DMA.

Physical memory : 1022MB (1047024kB)
Free physical memory: 293MB (300092kB)
Memory in use : 71 %

Shut down programs running in the background.

Try different media.
Go to the manufacturer's website to see if there is a firmware update for this old laptop's old burner.

What is DMA? Any recommendations on media? I have Sony, Memorex, and the Staples brand, and I keep getting the same outcome. LOL... "old laptop's old burner"!

Try the Sony discs.

Your burner is from 2005. It may have a problem with today's media. That's one of the reasons for a firmware upgrade.
You'll have to check with the manufacturer of this laptop for any updates.
